The Airports Security Force is a federal department that operates under the Aviation Division of the Government of Pakistan.The current Director General of the ASF is Major General Adnan Asif Jah Shad HI(M), and the organization currently employs 8,945 personnel.
Short History.
The Airports Security Force Act LXXVII of 1975 established the ASF in 1976 as part of the Department of Civil Aviation. However, after a Pakistan International Airlines plane was hijacked in March 1981, it became clear that security and facilitation needed to be separated.The Aviation Division is led by the Aviation Secretary of Pakistan. The ASF’s primary responsibility is to provide security for airports and aircraft. Airport Security Force –Firm and Courteous
The Airports Security Force (ASF) is an executive department of the Ministry of Aviation in Pakistan. It was founded in 1976 under the Airports Security Force Act LXXVII of 1975. The primary responsibility of ASF is to provide security to all 25 civil aviation airports in the country, including 12 international and 13 domestic airports. ASF is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of aircraft, passengers, luggage, mail, and proper conduct of individuals and vehicles within the airport and aerodrome limits.

Mission Statement
The aim is to protect the civil aviation industry in Pakistan from unauthorized disruptions by implementing counter-terrorism measures, preventing criminal activities, and maintaining law and order within the confines of Pakistani airports.
Authorities
In the discharge of their duties, officers may search for and arrest any person suspected of endangering, attempting to endanger, or having endangered the safety of an aerodrome, airport, aircraft, or civil aviation installation, without requiring a warrant. For the purposes of this act, an officer shall have all the powers granted to an officer in charge of a police station under the Police Act 186 (V of 1861) and the Code of Criminal Procedure 1898 (Act V of 1898) within the areas covered by this act.

- Minimum weight for male 48.1 kg or 106 Lbs and for female 45 kg or 99.2 lbs
