A valid Domicile Certificate is one of the most essential documents for PPSC applications. Many candidates face confusion about domicile rules - especially those from Azad Jammu & Kashmir, married female candidates, and those who have lost their original certificates. This guide covers all the official PPSC domicile rules with clear explanations.
Yes, but with conditions. Candidates who are permanent residents of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) but are also domiciled in Punjab will be considered - on the basis of the domicile of the concerned district of Punjab.

If a candidate applied online for the post without a Domicile Certificate and then applied for the Domicile Certificate after the closing date of the advertisement:
Such a candidate shall NOT be held eligible for the post they applied for.
The rule is strict: you must have either the Domicile Certificate or at least proof of applying for it on or before the closing date.
If you lose your original Domicile Certificate after applying for a post and the closing date has also expired:
Tip: Always keep photocopies and digital scans of your Domicile Certificate. Losing the original can create unnecessary complications.
