The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) only accepts applications through its online system - no other format is accepted. This guide walks you through every step of the process, from filling out the form to editing your application after submission.
Steps for Online Application Submission
The PPSC online application process consists of 6 steps completed in order:

Does PPSC accept applications in any other format?
No. PPSC does not accept applications in any format other than the Online Application Form. Paper applications, email applications, or any other method are not accepted.
What If Your Session Expires?
Don't worry! If your session expires or you leave the PPSC website before completing your application:
- The system saves your progress automatically
- When you return, it will resume from where you left off
- You only need to provide information for the remaining steps
- Already saved information will not need to be entered again
How to Resume Your Application:
- Visit the PPSC Website and click the "Apply Online" button from the home page
- Select your post, read the instructions, and enter your CNIC Number
- Fill out the remaining information as required by the system
- Submit your application
Confirmation of Application Submission
How do you know your application was submitted?
Upon successful submission, you receive:
- Application Number - displayed instantly on screen
- Edit Token Number - for future reference and editing
- Email notification - sent to your registered email
- SMS notification - sent to your registered mobile number
Not receiving SMS confirmation?
If you're not receiving SMS from PPSC:
- Check if you've blocked promotional SMS on your number
- To unblock PPSC messages, type "SUB" and send to 8732765
- You can also retrieve your token number from the "Edit Application" page using the "Forgot / Not Received Token No" link
Token Number – Why It Matters
The Edit Token Number is extremely important because:
- It's needed to edit your application after submission
- It's required to check your Detailed Marks Certificate (DMC)
- It is sent only once at the time of submission
- Save it immediately for future reference
How to Retrieve a Lost Token Number
If you've lost your Token Number:
- Go to the PPSC website
- Click "Edit Application" button on the home page
- Choose "Forgot / Not Received Token No."
- Provide your personal details to retrieve it
If you're still unable to retrieve it, submit a written application to the Secretary, PPSC including:
- Full Name
- Roll Number
- Copy of valid CNIC
- Post applied for
Editing Your Application After Submission
Made a mistake? You can edit your application using the "Edit Application" option on the PPSC website.

Important Restriction:
The edit option is only available until the closing date for receipt of applications. After the closing date, no changes can be made.

Hard Copies & Document Submission
For posts in BS-18 or below:
- No hard copies required at the time of application
- Hard copies are required at the time of interview only
For posts in BS-19 and above:
- Hard copies of the Online Application Form plus two sets of photocopies of all required documents must be provided to the Commission's office on or before the closing date
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Not saving the Token Number - You'll need it for editing and DMC access
- Entering wrong CNIC - Double-check before proceeding
- Not completing all steps - Fee payment alone does NOT mean submission
- Waiting until the last day - Server load increases near closing dates
- Blocking promotional SMS - You'll miss important PPSC notifications
- Not keeping copies - Screenshot or print your confirmation for your records
