What is the Age Limit for CSS?

The age limits for appearing in the CSS Competitive Examination are:

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 30 years

These limits are calculated as of the cut-off date, which is 31st December of the year preceding the examination.

If you are appearing in the CSS 2026 examination:

• Your age is calculated as of 31st December 2025
• You must be at least 21 years old on that date

How is Your Date of Birth Determined?

FPSC accepts the date of birth from the following documents only:

1. Matriculation certificate or Secondary School Certificate (SSC)
2. GCE O-Level or equivalent certificate - if it mentions the date of birth
3. If the GCE O-Level or equivalent certificate does not mention the date of birth:
   • Secondary School Leaving Certificate along with a birth certificate issued by a Hospital or Municipal Committee

The maximum age limit of 30 years can be relaxed by 2 years for the following categories:
