Age eligibility is one of the first criteria checked for CSS candidates. Many aspirants are confused about the exact age limits, the cut-off date, and which categories qualify for relaxation. This guide covers all the official rules on age for the CSS Competitive Examination as per the CSS Competitive Examination Rules, 2019.
The age limits for appearing in the CSS Competitive Examination are:
These limits are calculated as of the cut-off date, which is 31st December of the year preceding the examination.

Important: No other documents (CNIC, passport, affidavit, etc.) are accepted for date of birth verification. The date recorded in your Matriculation certificate is final.
